After 20 years in the corporate world, finishing as CEO of a global haircare business... I burnt out. I stepped away, and found myself drawn to supporting other women in business. Women who, like me, were juggling faster than a circus clown, solving every problem that came their way while still responding to customers and fulfilling orders.

As I helped them optimise their businesses, identify cash flow issues, and improve their margins — I realised something: my cup was filling back up. I was doing work that aligned with my values again.

What I kept seeing was the same gap everywhere. Traditional accounting firms are great at reconciliation and reporting, but they stop there. They hand you a P&L and leave you to figure out what it means for your business. For e-commerce founders, that's not enough.

 

You need someone who understands inventory, Shopify, cost of goods, and cash flow, and can translate all of it into decisions you can actually act on.

That's why I built Girl Math Collective. Not just to balance your books, but to help you understand what they're telling you, and use that information to grow.

In e-commerce, purchasing inventory is your biggest cash outlay. Almost every founder I meet isn't managing or forecasting their inventory effectively; and it's costing them so much cash. A lot of business owners ask me: "I'm making profits each month... where has all my money gone?" Cash flow can be a huge source of stress, and I want to ease that burden by helping businesses make active decisions based on their numbers.
